2nd Swimming Lesson

So today kor continue learning how to kick and blow bubbles. 

Then he swim with the board and blowing bubbles!! He is moving from point to point without any help and using frog style. 

I think he is having a great improvement!!

First Swimming Lesson

Today marks the first swimming lesson for Kayden boy.

Its $25 per lesson of 45mins at sengkang swimming complex. 

Since meimei is having flu and running nose, we decided to let her miss the first lesson with mc so that there will be a makeup lesson for it. 

The swimming package comes with a free goggles, swimsuit, swim bag, swim cap.

Off he go to start his first lesson. Practising the leg kicking, breathing techniques, floating. I see that he is enjoying his lesson very much. Glad that the money paid is all worth it! 

He said he was happy and looking forward the next lesson. That is all i wanna hear :)

But he was shivering in the pool because he said the water was so cold 😅. We got a sheltered pool for the lesson. 

Covid Day 4

Tested kor because i am finally covid negative on the ART self test kit!!

Sighz... kor result as below:

 Todays breakfast is as per kor request. The same western breakfast he had yesterday. So papa went to da bao with meimei. 

He did some math practise while mei play by herself. And i was working busily. 

Papa went to buy tori-q at waterway point as per kor request for dinner. 

That sums up the day. 

Praying for negative results for kor tomorrow :)

25 February 2022 - Kayden Covid Positive

And so...... the covid virus hit him.... i mean hit us!

On 23 February 2022, kor was having fever and vomitted. Did not attend school and i brought him to the doctor. And since i am having sore throat, i went to see the doc as well. I was swabbed but kor was not. 

Around 1pm, i received sms saying i am positive and to self isolate. So quickly arrangef for kor and mei to stay at gugu house. ART self test the both of them and they were negative. Papa then sent them over. 

On 25th February 2022, the kids wanted to go downstairs to put stickers. So we told gugu to ART for them, if negative then go down. In turn that kor was positive while mei remains negative. 

My first thought was to bring kor back our home so he doesnt spread to mei. After breakfast, papa went to fetch kor home. 

So now, kor and me covid positive. Sighz.

 On 26th February 2022, papa brought kor to the covid test centre to register his covid result.

Class Monitor

Our boy is Class Monitor!!

While we are walking home from studentcare to 妹 preschool, he told me he and one friend is class monitor. He asked me do u know what is class monitor?

I said yes yes, class monitor must be very clever, polite and good manners. 

While i still cant believe he is the class monitor, i asked if teacher asked who wants to be class monitor and you raise up your hand? He said nope, teacher choose de. 

Wow. I am so super happy and proud of him. Never would i thought he will be the class monitor. But now, he is one.... i think head prefect is...... on the way!! 🤩

So now its the beginning. 

After practising and revising for 3 days, i think he is ready to write the chinese words but still guessing for the hanyu pinyin. Tried goggling on how to teach hanyu pinyin and concluded that they can write the 4 tones first and try to read it to match it.

Test on tuesday, hopes he can still remember what i taught him.

Saturday Fun Day

Its the end of the first week for this not so little anymore boy of mine. 

Decided to bring them out to sun them. We had burger king for breakfast and played the sand and scoot awhile at ECP. I know they had absolute fun!!

Then we headed to Marina square for a walk and early dinner at Seoul Garden. Wow, how many years back did we last went to Seoul Garden 😅

First week of school

Today marks the completion of the first week of school.

He is having a great time in school. He said 3 k2 friends are in the same class as him. As for studentcare, he is playing with his k2 friend, Kayden Goh. 

Thursday studentcare watched movie, today friday he said he played catching and hide and seek with Kayden Goh (coming back so sweaty).

Since its a friday and papa is not working, we decided to go Loyang Tua Pek Gong to pray for a good 2022 ahead before the crowd starts at the temple when it is nearing the CNY period (1 Feb 2022, CNY day 1).

Eve of Primary One

I am getting anxious for this boy going to Primary 1 tomorrow. We went to Hougang mall for dinner and he said he wished to have some macarons. Since tomorrow is his new journey, papa bought the macarons 10pcs for $16. 

I've packed snack lunch box for him but i worry he wont get anything to eat during recess time. Haiz

Not sure if he can remember the important words that i teach him. His class is P1 Care, after class going studentcare. Dont leave the school compund until ahmi or papa is there to fetch him back home. Always say thank you to people whom helped him.

Still worrying. 

I remember the first time i was equally anxious for him is his first childcare at 3yo at PCF amk. All of us woke up so early to bring him to the market to eat. Then i accompanied him to his preschool for 1 week and sneaking off the 2nd week and buying toys everytime i picked him up from preschool. Then he made nice friends and nice teachers, 王老师, teacher jelli, etc. 

Then changed his preschool when he turns K2 to punggol PCF. And subsequently after 1 month, we changed to My First Skool at our house downstairs which is more convenient. 

And now finally he is going to Primary 1 at Oasis Prinary School. 

Now i miss the times when i can just send him to the school downstairs..... 

Kayden end of preschool journey

My this not very little boy officially ended his preschool journey and moving to the next milestone, Oasis Primary School.

He will be attending primary 1 on 4 Jan 2022, Tuesday.

I am worried for him to be honest. I worry he doesnt know how to get food during recess or dont wanna buy food because he doesnt know how to order or pay money. 

I worry he is unable to catch up with the academic as he hasnt been attending any enrichment classes. 

I worry he made some naughty friends and teach him the bad stuffs.

I worry the naughty friends or seniors bully him in school.

For me, i hate changes. I hope to live in a comfort zone forever. I wished he will forever in the preschool at our house downstairs, forever with the same teachers and friends whom i am familiar with. But i know that is not possible. 

All his teachers and aunties in his preschool praised him for his good manners. Greeting his teachers and saying thank u and please all the time. I am very proud of him actually. One of the teachers even said because his parents taught him well. I am proud, really proud of this. 

I told him, see, your good manners made all your teachers praised you and so happy to be your teachers. I hope he will remember and continue this good behaviour for the rest of his life. I hope he can be prefect or head prefect in primary school :)

Happy New Year 2022

It's been so long sice my last post. More than 5yrs ago? Or more?

This brand new year, i decided to continue my blog and lesser on FB/IG. 

Somewhere i can post the photos and things i wanna say so that i can remember when i grow old and senile. 

Today papa made burger breakfast for me. Then we helped the kids with the piggy bank painting and left home to marine parade. 

Before we head home, we da bao Yong He 豆浆油条 yummy.
